I’ve been interested (possibly obsessed) with photos most of my life. 

Taking photos, looking at photos, scrapbooking, sharing photos as gifts. 

Several years ago I moved from my first career in Early Childhood and Disability Education to full time portrait photography, which was a dream come true… all photos all the time! 

However, in 2020 I couldn’t work due to Coronavirus, so took the opportunity of an enforced break to finish writing a class on organising photos. Clients and friends had been asking for help and advice for a while… and I had nothing else to do! 

What I thought was going to be a quick project, a couple hour class to write, ended up being a rabbit warren of info, tech, processes, scanners, clouds… so much amazing info! I was hooked! 

As our C19 restrictions became longer, my understanding of the photo organising world got bigger, the more I was moved to make a big change to my business. 

I enrolled in and completed requirements for certification as a Professional Photo Organiser with the industry’s peak body, The Photo Managers… and from there Treasured Collections Photo Organizing was born! 

It’s a big change from photography, but I love that I get to help people find, save and use their treasures, memories and stories! 

Each project is as unique as a client’s collection. 

The cost of each project varies, given the collection and the goals for the client. 

I meet with each client for a free session to assess their collection and goals. 

Some things that affect the cost of a project.

• Times frames (how urgent is your project?)
• Size of collection 
• Current state of project 
• Services required – physical organising, scanning, packaging for storage, digital organising and cloud set up 
• Level of client participation 

After the initial meeting, a Scope of Project is created with a quote. 

From here clients can choose to go ahead, change the scope to fit their budget, or stage it over time. 

Currently, the very best way to digitise your treasures! It provides enhanced colour capture, and is flexible for imaging of items that aren’t completely flat (like scrap book pages).

TCPO can digitise most media types… photos, slides, negatives, old photos, books, certificates, scrapbooking collections,  medals etc. 

Your media are returned safely to you, as well as the digitised files, ready to use!

During an initial meeting Dallas will assess your collection and your goals, then work out a plan for moving forward. 

Big projects often have several parts that can be completed independently, then all brought together at the end for a completed project. 

Every project, large or small, is unique and gets its own plan!

1. Initial contact with Dallas / TCPO to chat about your collection and your plans.
2. First meeting – Dallas assesses your collection, discuss your goals, Dallas shares what is possible. 
3. Scope of Project and quote – From this meeting Dallas will create a Scope of Project document identifying steps of project, quote for project, possible additional costs etc. 
4. Client makes changes to Scope of Project or signs contract and pays deposit. 
5. Dallas completes work on the project, with clients participation if part of Scope. Keeping client informed at key points. 
6. When the project is complete, Dallas will return materials, meet with client to walk through the project, present Project Report and demonstrate apps, systems etc. 
7. Dallas follows up to the check all systems, apps and programs are working well.
